Post Masters Clinical Therapist
Audrey Gutierrez has been a dedicated therapist since 2018, initially serving as a graduate intern and currently as a Post Masters Clinical Therapist, working towards registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. A bilingual practitioner fluent in both French and English, Audrey hails from Montreal, QC, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, complemented by double minors in Behavioral Sciences and Sociology from McGill University. She furthered her education with a Master's degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology.
During her time in Montreal, Audrey gained valuable experience counseling adolescents at a community outreach center, working at a crisis intervention hotline for an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and conducting psychiatric assessments for individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia.
Having resided in Ontario for over a decade, Audrey has cultivated a diverse skill set as a counselor, working with a wide range of populations, including first responders and the LGBTQ+ community. Addressing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, complex trauma, grief, suicidal ideation, relationship conflicts, marital issues, post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, low self-esteem, and emotional regulation.
Audrey employs an eclectic approach to therapy, integrating various modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and trauma-informed care. Central to her practice is the commitment to fostering a warm, supportive, and judgment-free environment, where she aims to establish a trusting therapeutic relationship with her clients.
Audrey works with adults and couples, helping them navigate their unique challenges. In her personal time, she enjoys hiking, traveling and spending quality moments with her husband and three children.
